Wolftrap cycling Club is pleased to announce the holding of the third annual JJ Kinahan Memorial Cycle. The details of the event are as follows: Venue: Birr Date: Wednesday 8th. Summer Cycling Begins
It is time for those of you who have not being cycling to find your bikes and get out on the roads.
From Sunday 15th. April we will start our cycles from Horan’s shop at 9am. sharp.
Our midweek cycles resume on Tuesday 17th. April. They will roll out from Horan’s shop at 7pm. every Tuesday and Thursday from now on.
We intend to cater for 3 levels of cycling
Group A:
- Leader: Gary
- Average Speed: 30 – 32kph
- Distance: 100 kms
Group B
- Leaders: Joe, Cronan, Laura
- Average Speed: 25 – 26 kph
- Distance: 80 kms
Group C
- Leader: Bernie
- Average Speed: 20 – 22 kph
- Distance: 50 kms

Membership
Membership fees are now due. Membership year runs from 1st January to 31st December each year and includes membership of Cycling Ireland.
Membership fee also includes personal accident and third party insurance. Therefore, it is vital that all club members pay their subscriptions in the month of January each year. Anyone who has not paid, please do so as soon as possible.

Weekend Trip to Lismore
This year’s Spring away weekend is on 20th and 21st April. We will head to the beautiful town of Lismore in Co. Waterford. There are lovely cycling routes in the area including the challenging VEE climb.
If you want to stretch the legs a bit extra and make a 3 day cycling weekend of it, then why not cycle from Birr to Lismore on the Friday?
We will stay in the 3* Lismore House Hotel, a traditional hotel in the town centre.
2 nights B&B and 1 Dinner is €100 PPS.
